The popular Border hit, Sandese Aate Hai is back in Border 2 as Ghar Kab Aaoge, but is re-done with a new composition by Mithoon.
Released very recently, Border 2’s Ghar Kab Aaoge involves Mithoon re-creating the song, however, with new lyrics by Manoj Muntashir, which was brought to life by the team of singers such as Sonu Nigam, Arijit Singh, Roop Kumar Rathod, Vishal Mishra and Diljit Dosanjh.
The ever lastic song Sandese Aate Hai written by Anu Malik with the vocals of Roop Kumar Rathod and Sonu Nigam remains an iconic song. After the launch of the new version, social media users posted mixed feedback as some said that it was an acceptable version, but many said that it was not as good as the original. That being said, some of the listeners were of the opinion that the remake too succeeded in saving the soul and the emotional character of the classic and introducing a twist to it.
Reactions to ‘Ghar Kab Aaoge’
The emotional center of the song is also enhanced by the context on the screen, particularly the introduction of familiar faces and fresh forces by the border 2 cast makes the musical tribute closer to the audiences.
Some of the users went into the social media to express their opinions on the new border 2 song review. A single listener described it as an acceptable remake, with the verse of Sonu Nigam being described as pure magic and stating that the singer once again justified the reason why he is regarded as the GOAT, but also enjoyed the performance of Arijit Singh. According to another user, they still got goosebumps when listening to the song and that it was a timeless song, and another user saw it reminding them of the good old times.
Another user said that the song was good but not as good as the original one, that Vishal Mishra and Arijit Singh were not exactly suitable in the song and that the main soloist was Diljit Dosanjh with Sonu Nigam and Roop Kumar Rathod being the real soul of the song. In the meantime, a fan praised composer Anu Malik and described his music as amazing.
One of the remarks made that the makers did not over do or add unneeded features to the song, but the listener was a little disappointed with the performance of Arijit Singh, which might have been because of over exposure. The user also remarked that the track, not withstanding this, was so fire and they liked the part of Vishal Mishra and Diljit Dosanjh most, as they said they felt it in their hearts.
About ‘Sandese Aate Hain’
The song was originally penned by Javed Akhtar, who received the National Award of Best Lyrics in 1998 for the song. In the re-issue, Manoj Muntashir has added some more lyrics.
Border 2 Release Date
Similar to the music, the cast of border 2 has drawn significant attention and the fans are anxious to see how the ensemble works with the patriotic and emotional theme of the film.
Under the direction of Anurag Singh, Border 2 is an ensemble film, which includes Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh and Ahan Shetty. The movie is being made by T-Series, in collaboration with J P Films of J P Dutta, and will be released theatrically on January 23, 2026.
