The much-hyped partnership between Harley-Davidson and Hero MotoCorp is now preparing itself to roll out its next mega launch, the new Harley-Davidson X440T. Based on the platform of the successful X440, the T version comes not only as an update, but also as its own model with a different personality, a new design, and possibly considerable improvements in technology.
The essence of the mechanics is sound, but the actual emphasis of the X440T is its high styling and technological improvements.

A Personalized Identity: Styling Takes the Centre Stage
The most conspicuous modification that can be identified between the Harley-Davidson X440T and its sibling is a complete renovation of the aesthetics, especially in its rear part; a strong indication of its emphasis on comfort and more unique appearance.

The Harley-Davidson X440T has a much modified and extended tail section, with a smooth new cowl. This is accompanied with a redesigned seat and a larger pillion grab handles that may indicate that the design is more two-up or long-haul comfort-based. This changes the rear fender and tail geometry that makes the bike look far leaner and more aggressive than the regular model.
On the eye, the new version is given a new life with new graphics of Harley-Davidson X440T with a chequered-flag detail in the side panels. Superior cosmetic extravagances, like bar end mirrors and black painted front fenders, underpin its custom aura. There will also be four unique color choices available to the enthusiasts; blue, white, red and black.

Advanced Tech and Rider Aids
The strong 440cc, single-cylinder, air-oil cooled engine is retained under the new styling, with a 6-speed gearbox and a slip-and-assist clutch. Although the power (27 hp and 38 Nm) is inherited by X440, the T variant might have a slight retuning that would be more appropriate in its peculiarities.

The largest possible enhancement in technology which will bring the Harley-Davidson X440T to the next level is a prospective upgrade to a ride-by-wire (RbW) throttle system. This is a major functional improvement, in the sense that it directly clears the way to a higher level of rider aids. Under RbW, it is expected that the X440T will have many ride modes and possibly traction control that are already becoming common on performance-oriented middleweight bikes.
The bike will consist of the same 3.5-inch circular TFT display that offers smartphone connectivity and navigation capabilities in addition to the standard safety package of dual-channel ABS.

Price Expectations and Position on The Market
The X440T model was placed in the right position to find its place in the densely populated 400-450cc segment. At the premium styling, re-developed parts, and possible technological improvements (such as RbW), the T variant should be slightly priced higher than the existing Harley-Davidson X440 line.

The opening is very close and though no official prices have been announced yet, the following are the approximate estimated prices in ex-showroom in the different variants depending on the hierarchy that is anticipated of the different variants:
| Variant | Key Features (Estimated) | Estimated Ex-Showroom Price (INR) |
