Xiaomi has begun 2026 by releasing two new devices as part of its Redmi brand in India- the redmi 15 series with the redmi note 15 5G, as well as the new Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G tablet. Tuesday, January 6, was the official date of the unveiling of the products.
As the cost of memory and components is increasing all over the world, Xiaomi has stretched the pricing of its traditionally low-end Redmi Note family a little this year, which has affected the price of the Redmi Note 15 5G relative to prior models.
Redmi Note 15 5G Features
The Redmi Note 15 5G is powered by a 6.77-inch curved AMOLED and has a peak brightness of 3,200 nits and a 120Hz refresh rate. The smart phone is also IP66 certified, implying that it is able to resist dust and water sprays- a feature that is an improvement of the older Redmi 15 models.

It has a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor with 8GB of RAM and a maximum of 256GB of internal memory under the hood. It comes with HyperOS 2 using Android 15. The smartphone is powered by a 5520 mAh battery and Xiaomi has provided a 45W fast charger within the retail pack.

In the case of photography, the Note 15 5G has a 108MP main rear camera with a 8MP ultra-wide lens, and 20MP front camera, used in taking selfies and making video calls.

Within India, the Redmi Note 15 5G price at least rs.19,999 in the case of the 8GB RAM and 128GB model. The 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant costs Rs.21999. The smartphone is going to be sold between January 9 and January 26 both online and offline retail shops.
Note Pad 2 Pro
Xiaomi also introduced the Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G, and it has enlarged its line of tablets in the country in addition to the smartphone. The Redmi Pad 2 Pro has a huge 12.1 inch 2.5K screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, peak brightness of up to 600 nits and Dolby vision. It also has the stylus and keyboard accessories, which appeal to the productivity-oriented users.

The tablet features an enormous 12,000mAh battery and with a 33W charger, and can reverse charge at 27W. Quad Dolby Atmos speakers deal with audio output.
The Pad 2 Pro 5G is based on the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset and will be available with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage and run on HyperOS 2. It also delivers Gen AI capabilities like Circle to Search and Gemini AI integration. In the case of cameras, the tablet has a rear camera of 8MP and a front camera of 8MP.

Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G costs Rs.22999 with 8GB RAM and 128GB, Wi-Fi + 5G with the same storage is priced Rs.25, 999 and the highest 8GB RAM and 256GB is valued at Rs.27,999. It will start selling on January 12 through Flipkart, Amazon, Mi.com, and offline stores.
