Mahindra XEV 9e CineLuxe Edition has officially received a third exterior color option: a striking matte shade called Satin Desert Myst. This new champagne-gold tone joins the existing Satin Black and Satin White choices, giving buyers a bit more personality for their high-end EV.
What Makes the CineLuxe Edition Stand Out?
The CineLuxe isn’t just a standard car with a fancy coat of paint. Mahindra uses this special edition as a canvas for its most premium styling elements. Built strictly on top of the range-topping Pack Three trim, the CineLuxe exclusive features are aimed at buyers who want to stand out from the crowd.
While standard XEV 9e variants stick to traditional glossy paint jobs, these exclusive matte finishes are reserved solely for the CineLuxe tier.
Step inside, and the differences are even more obvious. The cabin trades the standard look for a deeply sophisticated Chestnut Brown and Nocturne Black dual-tone theme, tied together with contrast brown stitching. To round out the premium look, Mahindra has placed a dedicated “CineLuxe” badge on the rear quarter panel so everyone on the road knows exactly what you’re driving.
XEV 9e Hardware Under the Hood
While the exterior looks completely fresh, everything underneath the sheet metal stays exactly the same. Mahindra hasn’t tweaked the mechanical setup, which is honestly great news considering the solid performance figures the platform already offers.
- The Battery: You get the same heavy-hitting 79kWh lithium-ion battery pack.
- The Range: It delivers an impressive, ARAI-certified range of 656 km on a single charge, making it highly capable for highway road trips, not just city commutes.
- The Driving Experience: Because it uses the Pack Three architecture, you get Mahindra’s most advanced electric motor tuning and suspension setup.
The Cost of Exclusivity
As you might expect, this level of style and luxury pushes the price tag into premium territory. The Mahindra XEV 9e CineLuxe Edition is priced at Rs 29.35 lakh (ex-showroom).
When you compare that to the standard XEV 9e lineup—which starts at a much more aggressive Rs 21.90 lakh—the price gap is quite substantial. However, that premium accounts for the absolute highest mechanical specification available, paired with a bespoke cosmetic package you cannot buy on lower trims.
This strategy is becoming a textbook move for automakers in India. By introducing unique color options and limited styling packages mid-cycle, brands can keep their flagship models feeling new and exciting without waiting years for a full mechanical facelift.
